GIA Toronto Review
I ate at GIA Toronto last night with my boyfriend Kenny. My first thoughts are all compliments to the designers. The facade pulled me in, and I couldn’t stop thinking about trying this place. Two days after walking passed, I was able to get a table. The restaurant is meatless which my boyfriend Kenny was not thrilled about initially. TMI - but I’m dairy free and love when I can find non-dairy alternatives.
The food we ordered:
•Baked Brie: Future of Cheese’s Cashew Brie, strawberries, anise, basil & pistachio, focaccia
•Carrots: cherry mostarda, almonds & feta
•Pappardelle: peas, lemon, mint & pumpkin seed pesto
•Olive oil cake: vanilla buttercream & strawberries
Drinks:
Picante Pisano: Blanco Tequila, Aperol, Grapefruit, Habanero, Lime
Dundas West: Bourbon, Averna, Campari, Angostura
I would definitely go back to this restaurant. However, on our way to GIA, we walked by dozens of appealing restaurants and snack bars. Toronto has a plethora of food options, it really just depends on what you’re in the mood for.
